Angel Mbogoro

Managing Director

As an accomplished business strategic development professional with 12+ years of expertise in growth initiatives, business development, consultant, and integrated management, Angel spent her first three years out of 12+ years in the private sector and 7 years in government relations. She joined Touchline Ogilvy in March 2005 as Account Executive (360 degrees) and worked with local and international brands (Coca-Cola, Motorola, MTV Base, Vodacom, and MultiChoice Tanzania). In 2007, she joined GoodWorks International LLC, (GWI) Tanzanian office as a country representative, in 2008 she was transferred to Atlanta Georgia in the United States as a strategic senior consultant and she operated between Tanzania and the US until 2014. GWI is a firm that seeks to promote economic ties between Africa and the USA. While at GWI, she worked directly with the Company’s President & CEO to develop the company’s relationship with the Tanzania government and facilitate foreign direct investment. In 2014 she left GWI to start Impact Advisory (IA) a sustainability consultancy firm that provides thought leadership and customized solutions for the management of sustainability issues to local and international businesses, NGO’s and governmental organizations. Angel has a Business Administration degree from United Kingdom and a Masters in Managerial Science degree in Georgia State University. Currently, she is pursuing her career in certified PMP.

 

Angel is a member of the National Association for Professional Women (NAPW) an association based in the USA, as a member of corporate America and Tanzania, she uses her knowledge and network for the benefit of her client. Angel is a mother to one daughter Dasha Giovanna (5yrs). She enjoys reading self-development, audiobooks, and spending time with her daughter.

DUNSTAN GIDEON MRUTU

ECONOMIST

Dunstan Mrutu is an Economist and an Experienced Management Consultant with over 30 years of experience in the corporate sector, establishing and directing projects, development programs and managing private sector development organizations including the national private-public dialogue bodies namely Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC) and the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT). 

Currently, he is a project development consultant focusing on project design, feasibility studies, and fund mobilization; a businessman developing commercial farms in Dodoma (vineyard, fruits, and vegetables) and Rufiji River Basin envisaging commercial-scale farms for forage pasture, cereals, and oilseeds. 

 

Dustan has accomplished a lot in corporate Advisory Services  and Board of Directors Operations including :  Retained local consultant in preparation of a sea water desalination project for providing fresh water to Dar es Salaam city and other coastal towns from sea water., experience in working for Tanzania Development Finance Company Ltd (TDFL) ,Trustee Member of the Private  Agriculture Support Scheme Trust (PASST), Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA)  , Board Member of the Export Processing Zone Authority, as Chairman of Maji Tech Engineering Ltd a water wells drilling company in Tanzania,as Board Member of EcoBank (T)  Ltd, as member of Bio-Safety Tanzania (BST) an organisation advocating  safe biotechnology in Agriculture, Member of Ministerial Advisory Board of the National College of Tourism, Board Member of the Dar es Salaam Community Bank ,Member of the National Fund for Advancement of Science and Technology Committee (NFAST) of the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology,  Board Member of the Open University of Tanzania Consultancy Bureau and also  Board Member of the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF).  as well as managing private sector development including: As the first CEO of Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) followed by Tanzania National Business Council (TNBC), recruited, trained and managed the institutions over a period of eight years leading to the creation of a vibrant private-public consultative mechanism in Tanzania under the Chairmanship of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

In( 1978-1998 )he worked as Senior Manager – Corporate Advisory Services Department for Tanzania Development Finance Company Ltd (TDFL): responsible for the identification of projects for TDFL financing, designing and marketing the services of corporate finance including conducting feasibility studies for the long term and short term lending, involvement in establishing capital and securities market activities at TDFL and syndication of funds for large scale projects.

Between 2000 and 2002, he worked as First Executive Director for Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) responsible for the establishment, internationalization, and management of TPSF, a private sector focal organization bringing together the organized private sector in Tanzania for dialogue with the public sector on business and investment matters.

From 2002 to 2011, he worked as First Executive Secretary of the Tanzania National Business Council (TBNC)  responsible for the establishment and operation of the Business Council with its two working committees namely the Tanzania Investors Round Table advising the President of United Republic of Tanzania on investment and economic reform matters and the SMART Partnership Dialogue committee responsible for extending economic and policy dialogue to sub-national level through the   Regional Business Councils and District Business Councils.
He also worked as First Chief Executive Officer (Presidential Appointee) of the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT) and ambitious commercial agricultural development partnership between the government, private sector, development partners, small scale farmers and NGOs between 2011 to 2012.

FRANCIS OSARO OMOROJIE

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Francis Omorojie holds a Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng), major in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. During his university days, Francis engaged with top corporate

brands, in the likes of Google and Microsoft as Campus Ambassador, acting as an intermediary between the

university and these brands in deploying innovative learning solutions to the university to promote efficiently

ways of teaching and learning in the higher institutions. Francis had the opportunity to represent Nigeria universities in EdTech conferences across Africa and Asia.

After graduating in 2013, Francis joined AIESEC In Tanzania as National Project Manager, where he designed and implemented impact projects across Health, Education, and ICT sector. He managed over 150 global volunteers from different parts of the world that supported AIESEC in implementing the projects in 5 regions.

In 2015, Francis was selected for the role of Africa Regional Operations Manager at AIESEC. In this role, Francis was managing and supporting AIESEC entities in 14 African countries. He provided a strategy roadmap for African entities and operations coaching support during his visit to these countries.

In 2016, Francis joined Professional Approach as Recruitment and HR Development Consultant, working

with companies in scouting, nurturing, and onboarding workforce for various organizations. In the same year, Francis joined DKT International as Assistant Regional Manager, Lake Zone. He was responsible for managing family planning projects and donor funds to ensure that the beneficiaries are reached, educated, and empowered.

Being someone very passionate about developing people and transforming the economy, Francis

founded Ennovate Hub in 2017. Since then, He has supported over 15 startups in developing their ideas

into profitable and commercially viable products. In this move, He intends to grow more entrepreneurs/businesses, create more jobs, and inspire sustainable economic growth. Francis is an Innovation and Tech enthusiast and has been supporting startups to scale across the continent. He has also co-founded game-changing startups such as HABA (Fintech), ONA (e-commerce platform for Africa Creative Products), Haraka Foods (Food services), and looking forward to more Tech developments in the near future.

Also in his move towards enabling smallholders to grow and sustain their families, Francis joined GoldenPot Limited as Chief Business Development Executive, where he provides top-level business strategy development and implementation support to small farmers and helping them utilize best agribusiness practices to scale their farm earnings, create jobs, and stabilize their families.

In 2017, Francis received certification in Entrepreneurship studies from Bocconi University. He was also certified by Inspire Africa and Dartmouth College as a Human-Centered Design Thinking Trainer in 2018. Francis has worked on various consultancy projects for diverse and global organizations like ECONET, Oxfam, British Council, UNFPA, Google Nigeria, CUSO International, and more.

MOUREEN LEMBRIS MOLLEL

PROJECT MANAGER – INTEX AND GOOD HAND.

Moureen Lembris Mollel is a High school graduate from Miono High school and currently, a  final year student taking Bachelor of General Science with a Major in Biology and Minor in Chemistry at The Open University of Tanzania. Moureen is currently working as an Associate Consultant for Impact Advisory and a project Manager for INTEX- Innovation challenge project, INTEX-Innovation Challenge project is a platform for youth in Tanzania with innovative Tech Solutions to showcase how their tech projects that are addressing social problems in the Agriculture, Education, Health and WASH sector. It’s designed with Impact Advisory in partnership with Ennovate Hub. As a project manager for INTEX Project, Responsible for leading the development and implementation of the INTEX Project in Tanzania, Leading the design and implementation of INTEX Project, Recruiting partners, and sponsors for INTEX Project. she is also an executive committee member for SOARING WOMEN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION.

Moureen is passionate about youth empowerment believing that every youth has potential within them that when tapped in right they can make wonderful changes in their families, society, country, and Africa in general. She is also inspired in ending Child abuse, she loves working on projects that make a social impact in vulnerable societies and also believes in Women empowerment.

In 2018 Moureen worked with AIESEC in Uganda as committee organizer for AIESEC East Africa Pioneers Congress. In 2019 she worked with AIESEC in Nigeria as a Committee organizer for AIESEC Middle East and Africa Exchange Leadership Summit.

She has also held several positions under AIESEC in Tanzania including Local Chapter  President for Institute of Finance Management in Tanzania(IFM) 2019-2020, As a president, she was responsible for representing, managing and leading AIESEC in IFM, she oversees projects run by AIESEC IN IFM and was able to partner with a new organization Network for Vulnerable Rescue Foundation (NVRF) which hosted 20+ volunteer in their 4projects creating impact in the society. She has also managed an executive board of 5 members and a team with 15 members.

In early 2017 Moureen Joined Oriflame East Africa (Tanzania) as an Independent Consultant for beauty and health products, with Oriflame she managed a team of 15 people, sold products based on customers’ needs. She has also volunteered as an assistant Kids trainer in Etiquette and manners and counseling under Grace Inc for 3months in 2017. She has also worked with Stayfit Nutri supplies as an assistant sales manager in 2016.

In 2018 Moureen received certification from the Panda trainee program by Her Initiative that aims at empowering young Tanzanian girls with Financial literacy and empowering them to become financially independent under the Agriculture category. In 2013 she received certification as the Best school leader of the year.

Moureen is a firstborn in a Family of 4, born in Arusha Municipality, Tanzania.

 

Albert Chaula

CSR Specialist

Albert Chaula is a Social Scientist. He received his B.A degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Albert is a highly regarded Community Relations and Development professional personnel. Objectively his career ability, experience and professional interest in working with governmental agencies, Non-governmental Organizations and Private institutions both Local and International in the areas of public relations advocacy, conflict management in the social context, Community need assessment, project identification, prioritization, coordination, and capacity building in addressing issues concerning socio-economic development, environmental conservation, poverty alleviation initiatives through sustainable utilization of available resources using participatory methodologies.

Albert has gained experience in community relations and development for more than 7 years while working with Barrick Gold Corporation, in Tanzania Gold Mining Site. He worked in the department of CSR as Community Relations Projects Officer where he coordinated all the projects established in the surrounding communities being supported by the mine in collaboration with other development agencies such as CARE international in promoting primary and secondary education, AMREF for promoting community Health, and collaborated with Local government authorities(Village, ward, district, and Regional government Authorities) and the entire community for Sensitization and awareness creation on community mindset change and self-help initiatives.

 

Eventually in 2010 Albert promoted to a challenging position as Senior Officer-Community Relations and Development in the CSR department to lead a team of 18 staff. Successfully in 2012, the department received an outstanding Barrick Global CSR Award in the initiatives to Promote Community Entrepreneurship Development. Such a global prize was a positive motivation for his career achievement in leadership and increased the need to do more accomplishments and achievements in the CSR issues. Albert is highly motivated in understanding the work environment, creativity, result-oriented, and the coordination of efforts of many individuals and institutions in order to meet organization goals. Apart from professional career and experience, he has sharpened his skills through short courses and training in areas such as Peace, Conflict Management and Reconciliation Skills, Participatory Community Development Planning, Project Management, Environmental Management System. Entrepreneurship Skills Development, Business Understanding, and Communication Skills.

EVANS EUSEBIUS MLELWA

ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Evans Eusebius Mlelwa is an Economist by profession and a Public Affairs practitioner. He has accomplished 20+ years of working in the areas of fiscal and regulatory affairs, regional integration dynamics, research, advocacy, project management, business strategy, government relations, business management, and communication.

 

He has worked with both the public and private sectors where he was positioned as a senior officer and part of management. He started his career in 1995 working at an insurance firm as a loss assessor. He joined the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) in 1997 where he worked as a Senior Taxpayer education officer. In 2004, he was seconded to the Ministry of Finance and Planning where he held the position of Senior Education, Information, and Communication Officer. He joined the private sector at Tanzania Cigarette Company in 2005 where he worked as a Manager of Corporate Affairs (Government relations). He then joined Coca-Cola Kwanza in 2012  as a Country Manager in Public Affairs and Communication. In 2013, he joined Serengeti Breweries Limited, Diageo Plc as the Director of Corporate Relations where he managed fiscal, regulatory, and sustainability aspects of the company. In 2015, he worked with the team on the establishment of Philip Morris International (PMI) in Tanzania where he managed Corporate Affairs issues in the East African region.

 

He collaborated with the business associations both regionally and nationally in the formulation of positions and advocacy. He was a member of the negotiation team during the establishment of the East African Community Customs Union and Common Market. At the national level, he has been involved in the stakeholder’s engagement and advocacy with both the business associations and the government.

 

He has participated in doing various researches and surveys which were useful to improve the business performance and conduct of the organizations.

Evans possesses a Masters’s degree in Public Policy (MPP) majoring in Economics from Korea Development Institute (KDI), School of Public Policy and Management, and Bachelor of Arts with Education degree, majoring in Economics and Public administration from the University of Dar-es-Salaam. He also attended various short courses in taxation, management, leadership, public relations and customer care, researches, business communication, project management, Finance, and Risk Management.

 

His achievements are mainly in managing the opening of operations/startups for new firms, managing fiscal and regulatory issues, build stakeholder networks, build government relations, business strategy execution, participation in bilateral and trilateral trade negotiations, manage and coach teams, manage projects, prepare positions and advocate.

 

Evans is married and blessed with two daughters and a son. His hobby is jogging, playing football, watching news and networking.

KIM MATINYI

MEDIA & COMMUNICATION STRATEGIEST

Kim Matinyi is a communications specialist with a background in public relations where he worked at Silver Bullet, a former PR subsidiary of Y & R from where he proceeded to work as Corporate Communications Officer with Precision Air. He left the airline in late 2009 to work as a private contractor in communications providing his expertise to public and private clients.

His skills in written communications have linked him to numerous opportunities both inside and outside Tanzania allowing him to amongst other projects to provide his services to the Trans-Nzoia county elections campaigns in Kenya in 2017. Over the years he has also worked for a non-governmental organization in project implementation and communication in several regions around the country.

 

Kim has been working alongside Impact Advisory since its inception in strategy, client support, and communication oversight on several fronts. His experience is built on extensive work for a broad spectrum of clients ranging from banks to beer brands, social projects to private institutions. In addition to the work he does for Impact Advisory he writes speeches, provides English-Swahili translations, writes copy for visual communications campaigns, and co-manages events.

Alice Maro

ASSOCIATE

Alice Maro is a highly skilled journalist, travel writer, and communications expert with over 10 years’ experience from East Africa and the USA. Her cross-functional background includes editing, writing, content creation, media relations, and public relations.

Alice brings with her extensive expertise in her field as a news reporter in America, Editor for a prominent travel magazine in Tanzania, Tigo Tanzania’s Public Relations Officer, Communications Manager for a USAID-funded Feed the Future horticulture project, Communications Expert for the East African Community, a Communications Consultant for East Africa’s leading annual Zinduka Festival, and now as a Communications Associate at the United Nations World Food Programme. She holds a BA Journalism degree and is currently finalizing her Master’s degree, also in Journalism. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her daughter.
